CPR applies higher product safety standards to save lives and protect buildings in a fire. We’re ready for CPR. We can help you understand what it means for your upcoming projects, and can provide the CPR-approved cable you need for any region.
Leviton, has invested several years into getting ready for Construction Products Regulations (CPR). We worked closely with standards committees to prepare for this important change, and can help you to better understand these regulations.
For cabling, CPR introduces new fire safety classifications and requires that all cables marketed in European Economic Area (EEA) to carry a CE mark and have a declaration of performance (DOP). The CE mark indicates the specific fire performance level that the cable has been verified to provide.
Starting 1 July 2017, manufacturers cannot supply cables unless they have been tested, certified, and marked in accordance with the CPR standards.
We’re dedicated to meeting regional CPR requirements. Our CE-marked Euroclass Eca cable has been available since August 2016, and we continue to expand our portfolio to include higher classification cables. We are prepared to deliver the high-end CPR-approved cable you need, when you need it.
Leviton adheres to the guidance provided by Europacable on CPR, and their recommendations can be found at: www.europacable.eu/cpr
For LSHF/LSZH cable assemblies intended to be permanently fixed within a building today or in the future, the CPR classification, for the cable part of the assembly ONLY, is provided within the overall product label for all solid conductor Copper and Fibre solutions manufactured by Leviton.
